Automated trendline trading EA + indicator (Automated trendline trading EA + indicator)
Hello everyone!
First of all I want to say that I did not make this indicator and EA, nor do I know the original source (I got it from another forum, but that is not the original source either)
Attached you will find an indicator and an EA that is quite (read: very) slow in backtesting, but according to the old thread it showed quite promising in forward demo testing (see screenshot taken from the old thread). Personally, I've been testing it with the forward demo for 3 days, so I can't draw any conclusions yet, but it's worth a try!
NOTE: The indicator itself does not draw trend lines, it draws S/R areas based on recent highs and lows, the EA draws trend lines and uses them for orders
What it does is draw trend lines and then place buy/sell orders based on those trend lines.
Please do not use it on a real account as it still seems to have some bugs.
I just found this EA which is very promising and thought I'd share it, if anyone wants to fix bugs or add something to the code, feel free to do so and I'll try to do that too, but I can't make any promises as I consider myself just an amateur when it comes to MQL coding, but I'm a quick learner due to my java/c++ background (everyone needs to start somewhere, right?)

P.S. I will probably set up a myfxbook page for the EA on Monday, you are free to do that too and tweak the settings a bit!
