Ichimoku - RENKO (Ichimoku - RENKO) | Forex indicator download - MT4/MT5 resources

I started this thread because I haven't seen an Ichimoku post directly related to brick shapes.

For this strategy I use 15 point boxes and the standard Ichimoku 9, 26, 52.

I'm not sure if I want to use other indicators in Ichimoku, my heart tells me to keep it "pure", but I always seem to get additional "confirming" indicators.

I would trade long when the box outside Kumo Cloud closes, Tenkan Sen above Kijun Sen (preferably pointing upwards), Chikou above price 26 periods ago, and short the opposite.

After trying hundreds of "holy grail" strategies, Renko trading combined with Ichimoku was the first trading strategy that brought me overall consistent profits, but I'm always looking for the "extra edge" to make it even better.

As with most strategies, this looks great when trending, but ranges can take a toll and any method of filtering ranges should be explored.
