3,6,9 EMA system (3,6,9 EMA system) | Foreign exchange EA download- MT4/MT5 resources
Well, everyone here likes to use PA to predict market movements, but the methods they use are so complex that when I see their charts, I feel like I'm watching a game of pick-the-stick. So I've been trying to build a simple system that can be used on lower TF and that anyone can understand. I like to apply the KISS (Keep It Simple Stupid) method to everything I do, so I developed an accurate yet simple EMA crossover system. Now, since I am using a short 5M TF, I will only be looking for 10 pips per trade, which is about 2.5% profit per trade using 50:1 leverage. This system works with any TF and any currency pair except 1m, but I don't need to trade long term, so I am currently focusing on short term scalping of 5mTF.
Well, if you haven't figured out what I'm doing, it's really simple, just set up 3 EMAs, one at 3, one at 6, and one at 9, then EMA3 is the signal, when it crosses the top of EMA6 and 9, it's a buy signal, and when it crosses the bottom of EMA6 and 9, it's a sell signal. I plan to use a 20 pip stop loss in case of technical issues, but I will use an EMA3 crossover to close most losing trades and set a price target of 2.5% of balance to close winning trades. All trades are placed after the close of the candle where the crossover occurs. Wanda is my broker and TP can be set as % of balance, % of price or points which is a nice feature.
So what do the experts think of this idea? (Not tested yet, but looks good on the graph)
Live testing starts tomorrow, I have a very small account, not much risk.
