HeikenAshi 1H Strategy (HeikenAshi 1H Strategy) - MT4/MT5 Resources
This 1H strategy will make your trading easier, why?
- Simple and easy to understand (just look at the indicator and you know if it's time to trade, no cluttered lines)
- Using the 1H timeframe means you don't have to view the chart every second, you can view it every hour or several hours
Now, what's the strategy? How do we enter a trade?
Here's how:
- Open a new clean chart
- Put Heiken Ashi on the chart
- Add MA (period: 14, simple)
- Add OsMA with default settings (set level to 0)
- Add Momentum (Period: 10, set level to 100)
- Add RSI (period: 5, set level to 50)
*Or you can download the template below
*Change candles to bars so you can see where the actual open and close prices are without having to open 2 charts
Long trade:
- Heiken Ashi closed above MA 14
- OsMA is above 0
- Momentum above 100
- RSI above 50
Short trade:
- Heiken Ashi closed below MA 14
- OsMA below 0
- Momentum below 100
- RSI below 50
*Momentum and RSI are optional confirmations, you can trade even if these 2 indicators are not above/below their levels, but it will be a risky trade, I personally trade when one of the indicators is above/below that level
Where are stop loss and take profit set?
- When setting SL I usually set it to the most recent swing high/low, and set TP to 2x SL, so my risk to reward ratio is 1:2
- If the OsMA goes in a different direction, close your trade (for example, you enter a long trade and the OsMA is above 0, and after a few hours the OsMA is below 0, this is your signal to close the trade)
- Of course you can set stop loss and take profit according to your own style
This is how I usually trade:
- Requires 3 confirmation signals from indicators
- If all indicators are confirmed, then I will accept 2 trade orders on the closing candle
- To set my stop loss to the recent swing, I use 2 take profit levels, the first take profit is 1:1 and the second stop loss is 1:2 (for example, I trade at 1.2000, my stop loss is 1.1000, my first take profit is 1.3000 and the second take profit is 1.4000)
- If my first TP is hit then I will move SL to BE
My first week to try this strategy it is a live cents account and after a month of testing I will change to a standard account
