Trading Strategy: Friday Gold Rush

This strategy used by fund manager Andre Stagge stands out for its simplicity: buy gold every Thursday night and hold the position 24 hours a day. The position was sold on Friday night. As an alternative, it is also possible to close the position on Monday morning. The results in both cases are very similar. This strategy does not use profit targets or stops. In the long run, this was a very successful strategy.

EA Friday Gold Rush

EA_Friday_Gold_Rush_v1.00 as an MT4 version is generally very simple, with the following parameters:
Best backtest results from 2024 to January 2025:
1. Open a position at 15.45 (London time, UTC+0) on Thursday
2. Close positions on Friday 19.25 (London time, UTC+0)
3. No take profit, stop loss 1.500 (you can also set it as a safe stop loss of 20.000 --> different backtest results, but successful)

I tested (see below) different setups (A, B, C) and I will now try "Setup B+C" on a live account with v1.04, starting on July 29, 2025.
