The Squeeze | Forex Indicator Download - MT4/MT5 Resources - MetaTrader 5 Resources
Please note that we use MT4 tool in this strategy. I provide them. It is important not to upload tools from other platforms. please! ! !
We know that the essence of an instrument is to move in trends, first with a sudden change from a range, then to another trend and range, and so on. In this strategy we want to trade against the trend from the beginning. One of the best tools to show the status of a financial instrument is Bollinger Bands - BB. When the range is widening, we are in a trend; when the range is narrowing, we are moving towards a range. This narrowing is also called squeezing.
Therefore, theory suggests that when we break out of a squeeze, a trend will emerge. One problem with the BB is that the squeeze is hard to spot due to the snappy curves. A common approach is to combine BB with Keltner Channel – KC. When BB moves inside KC, we will definitely get a squeeze. And when BB moves out of KC again, the next trend may begin. This is the core of this strategy.
The RFSqueeze indicator (written by me) will display squeezes on the chart and it can sound alerts on the screen and phone when squeezes start and end. I am a volume trader and this strategy respects that approach. However, it can also be used for just one or a few instruments.
Select instrument
The first is how to choose a trading instrument. I select it on the H4 and trade it on the M15. My choice - you might have done something different. Therefore, I have all the tools to trade on one MT4 instance. To me, that's a lot of charts, too many to open, so they're all collapsed down. They are all within the H4 time frame. I'm alerted when the RFSqueeze indicator sends the message "Squeeze has started." When the RFSqueeze indicator sends the message "Squeeze ended", I open the chart and analyze the situation. The first thing is to read the daily news. If the daily shows a good trend, then you're good to go.
Go to M15
You have selected an instrument. Now wait for RFSqueeze to display the "Squeeze Ended" message on the M15. There you have your transaction. Be prepared to trade in the direction of the H4 trend. Note that there is often a false breakout in the other direction. Don't trade it. Wait for the instrument to fall back into this range and break out in the other direction. I use M15 because I have enough gold bars to trade during the day.
At the end of each 4-hour bar (you are still on M15), go to H4 and assess the situation. Is this instrument still worth trading? If not, keep the chart on H4 and prepare for the next squeeze.
Now, you have many charts on your MT4 instance waiting for the H4 squeeze signal, and many charts on the M15 that you are trading with the squeeze signal. These M15 charts should be open and visible.
EDIT: I thought maybe I'd use the M5. At least I'll test it.
Entering and exiting
I use EMA 8 and 21 on HTF and trading TF to make sure I'm on the right trend. I would also use the M30 or H1 for testing.
At least the H4 probably won't be in trouble. I will test whether it is better to not squeeze TF at all between trading TF and H4. I believe it will offer fewer but better deals.
I have a spread filter but can't use it on my demo account. Their price differences are large, which makes trading the M5 and M1 difficult. So I will bear some unnecessary losses in the demo test.
More filters will appear in this test.
I enter when the indicator signals "end of squeeze". SL in center BB. The relative ratio is 1:1. The RRW could be bigger on the M5.
That’s all for now, but guys – please give me your input. Let's find more filters.
If you are not a full-time trader
Well, trade Daily TF. Set the squeeze indicator to weekly and monthly.
Tools and Templates
I won't be uploading templates. It only takes seconds to make your own. If you can't, then you can't trade safely anyway.
tool:
RF extrusion.
EMA 8 and EMA 21.
SqueezeBBK_mtf_1 (multi time frame squeeze indicator) will be uploaded later.
Don't use it. There will be updates.
Example
Here is a select example. The yellow dot is the extrusion tool.
