Trade the Market's Story with Supply &
Been on the charts for a few years now - tried it... patterns, small fibers, harmonics, waves, SMC hype.
But honestly? One thing that gives me the most clarity in trading = ( Swallow, SnD, Price Order Flow) Call it any name I have been using it for three years straight and it is the cleanest way I have found of knowing who is in control (buyer or seller).
So, in this post, I’m going to break it down for you step by step:
- The Basics of Engulfing (Buy/Sell)
- What actually happens when a chart is formed
- How it relates to SNR, OHLC and supply and demand
- Later, we'll delve into advanced stuff like ranges, roadblocks, storyline direction, and even mix it with tools like Bollinger Bands For Confluence
No fluff, no rubbish indicators - just price action explained in a way you can understand and use .

The basics of engulfment
Let’s jump right into it.
Engulfment is more than just "the big candle eating the little candle." It's about a transfer of control between a buyer and a seller.
this is the rule
Bearish Engulfing (Sell)
- You need the previous bullish candle.
- The low of that bullish candle must be below the close formed by the bearish candle body.
- Wick didn't matter - only the physical intimacy did.
Bullish Engulfing (Buy)
- You need to be bearish on the candle beforehand.
- The high of that bearish candle must be above the body closed by the bullish candle.
- Again → only close to the body, not the wick.
Why is this important?
Because when the low closes below →, it indicates that the buyers who held the price have now been absorbed and the sellers have taken control.
When prices close above the high → sellers are absorbed and buyers take over.
The core meaning of engulfment . This is not just a candle pattern, but a shift in order flow.
