Medici Forex EA Review – Free Download and Performance Analysis of Medici Forex EA

author EAcpu | 2 reads | 0 comments |

The market for automated trading tools is awash with bold claims of high returns and “advanced technology.” Medici EA is one such tool, marketed as a precision trading robot for XAUUSD (gold), utilizing a "Neural Network" and "Secure Martingale" system. Marketing materials indicate potential returns of up to 1,500% per year.

This Forex EA review is intended to provide objective, data-driven analysis of Medici EA. By examining the EA for the period February to December 2025 on the Strategy Tester, we compare marketing claims with actual technical performance to determine their validity.

Marketing claims and technical realities

Medici EA's promotional materials make some compelling claims. Below, we compare these claims with evidence found in backtest reports.

1. The “neural network” proposition

  • Marketing: The developers claim that EA uses "advanced neural network technology" to adapt to market dynamics.
  • Analysis: Forex EA A review of the EA inputs in the Strategy Tester report shows that this is not the case. The parameter sheet reveals that standard technical specifications include:
    • Stochastic (K_period, D_period, deceleration)
    • RSI (value, count, threshold)
    • Zig_Zag (depth, deviation, backoff)
  • Verdict: The presence of hard-coded settings for the standard oscillators (RSI, Stochastic) strongly suggests that this is a logic-based algorithmic strategy rather than a self-learning neural network. Real neural networks typically don't expose standard indicator periods as user input; they rely on weights and biases. The "neural network" label is more likely a marketing buzzword than a functional component of the code.

2. “1500% per year” return potential

  • Marketing: Claims annual power generation capacity of up to 1500%.
  • Analysis: Backtesting (covering the last 11 months) converted a $10,000 deposit into a net profit of $1,287.57.
  • Verdict: This represents a return of approximately 12.8% during the test period, significantly lower than the claimed 1500%. While a 12% return and low drawdown are respectable, marketing expectations were greatly exaggerated compared to test results.

Forex EA Analysis: How It Really Works

Medici EA is based on trading logs and input parameters and acts as an entry signal for a grid/martingale hybrid that relies heavily on standard oscillators.

  • Entry Logic – An EA may use RSI and Stochastics to look for overbought or oversold conditions, combined with ZigZag to confirm trends.
  • Martingale Recovery – My backtest report confirms Martingale logic. For example, on September 30, 2025, a series of transactions with increasing lot sizes occurred:
    • Trade 26: 0.21 Lots
    • Trade 27: 0.34 Lots
    • Trade 28: 0.54 lot This is visible in the parameters with the Multiplier=1.6 setting (0.21×1.6≈0.336).
  • One-sided trade anomalies - A key observation in this particular test is that 100% of the trades (45 out of 45) were "short" positions. The EA has not made a single "buy" trade in 11 months. This is highly unusual and indicates that the EA may have curve-fitted a specific downtrend, or enabled a "trade filter" that ignored bull signals during this period.

Performance Summary (Strategy Tester)

Medici E.A.
  • Symbol: XAUUSD (Gold)
  • Timeframe: M15
  • Period: 2025.02.03 – 2025.12.26
  • Total Net Profit: $1,287.57 (Profit Factor: 4.67)
  • Maximal Drawdown: $834.05 (7.69%)
  • Total Trades: 45

The profit coefficient of 4.67 is technically high, but the sample size (45 trades) is statistically insignificant for a year of trading. Strong algorithmic strategies typically generate hundreds of trades per year to demonstrate consistency. The low trading frequency indicates that the XAUUSD Martingale EA is either extremely selective or uses very strict settings.

Pros and Cons

Pros:

  • Controlled Drawdown – In this particular test, the drawdown was kept below 8%, which is safe for the Martingale strategy.
  • High Win Rate – This strategy achieves a win rate of 88.89%, which is typical for Martingale systems that hold losing trades until they are profitable or the recovery target is reached.
  • Automated recovery – The grid system successfully recovered the lost initial entries without compromising the accounts in that particular data set.

Cons:

  • Directional Bias – The lack of buy trades raises concerns about whether the EA is configured correctly or is over-optimized for bearish market phases.
  • Misleading Marketing – “Neural Network” claims appear to be unfounded and ROI projections are exaggerated.
  • Martingale Risk – Despite the “safe” label, the Martingale strategy carries an inherent risk of total loss of the account if the trend continues against the grid without a pullback.
  • Low Frequency – Only about 4 transactions per month, low capital efficiency.

Conclusion

Our Forex EA analysis of Medici EA reveals a tool that is very different from its description. Although marketed as a high-yield neural network AI, the evidence suggests that it is a conservative, indicator-based XAUUSD Martingale EA.

Traders interested in this EA should ignore the "1500%" hype and consider it a grid tool. Backtesting shows that it can be profitable with manageable risk, but low trading volumes and reliance on the Martingale multiplier require strict money management. It is highly recommended to run this on a demo account first to verify whether a buy trade is required under current market conditions, as a "short only" performance on the test is a red flag.
