The Volatility Quality Zero Line (VQZL) indicator uses moving averages to detect trends and calculates volatility ATR (Average True Range) using the following formula.

It is presented as a MetaTrader4 trading tool on the Meta Trader 4 platform, providing two colors of trading signals: red ( downtrend signal) and green ( uptrend signal). Additionally, it confirms the trend by crossing above or below the 0 level.

Uptrend confirmation

In the 1-hour chart of WTI, the VQZL Indicator confirmed the uptrend when the oscillator line color changed from red to green with price at 74.88 and moving to the upper zero level.

Downtrend confirmed

In the 15-minute chart of the GER40 index , the VQZL Indicator confirmed the downtrend when the oscillator line color changed from green to red, with price at 18,470.2 and moving below the zero level.
