Pre-Filtered CCI Average - MetaTrader 5 Script | Forex Indicator Download - MT4/MT5 Resources
The only thing that bothers me is how "rough" or "tense" it is. It jumps and changes very quickly, and sometimes it just limits its usefulness. Traditional smoothing methods are simply not good for a simple reason: the characteristic peaks of CCI are lost with any kind of smoothing (and I mean any kind).
The idea of this is not to smooth the results but to filter the results by first calculating the prices and then using these prices in the CCI calculation. And, all things considered, the results are surprisingly good.
This is a CCI pre-filtered indicator with the addition of 18 possible average types that can be used for pre-filtering.
