When VI+ crosses VI- upwards, this is a potential buy signal, but you should not enter the market until price passes the high of the bar where the two lines cross. Likewise, when VI- crosses VI+ downwards, this is a potential sell signal, but you should not enter the market until price breaks below the low of the bar where the two lines cross.
