Average Percent Volume - MetaTrader 5 Script | Trading Script Download - MT4/MT5 Resources

In capital markets, trading volume or trading volume refers to the number (total count) of securities (or a given group of securities or the market as a whole) traded in a given period of time. In the case of a single stock traded on a stock exchange, trading volume is typically reported as the number of shares that changed hands on a given date. Trading is measured in stocks, bonds, options contracts, futures contracts, and commodities. The average trading volume for a security over an extended period of time is the total volume traded in that period divided by the length of that period. Therefore, average trading volume is measured in shares per unit of time, usually per trading day.
When a security's price changes, trading volume is typically higher. News, whether positive or negative, about a company's financial condition, products, or plans typically results in a temporary increase in trading volume in its stock. Changes in trading volume can make observed price movements more significant. Higher stock trading volume indicates higher market liquidity. For institutional investors looking to sell a stock in large quantities, lower liquidity will force them to sell the stock slowly over an extended period of time to avoid losses due to slippage.
This version is a standardized one - since it displays the average volume of transactions in the form of a percentage compared to the actual volume during the selected period.
Now with MetaTrader 5, you can choose whether the trading volume used is live trading volume or real trading volume. Breakout percentages compared to average volume are marked in different colors.
