Kaufman AMA MACD - MetaTrader 5 Script | Forex Indicator Download - MT4/MT5 Resources
The Adaptive Moving Average (AMA) technical indicator is used to construct a moving average that is insensitive to price series noise and is characterized by minimal lag in trend detection. This indicator was developed and described by Perry Kaufman in his book "Smarter Trading".
Perhaps the odd thing about the Kaufman AMA is that it is rarely used with average-based indicators such as MACD.
This indicator partially fills this gap: it is the MACD constructed exclusively using the Kaufman AMA (even the signal line uses it). As such, this is a fully adaptive MACD (remember the Kaufman AMA is an adaptive moving average).
